Who's behind LoveLea?

Hello and Wellcome.

Thank you for stopping by and being curious About me.

I am a creative person; I should say: being creative is a necessity to me; and it is my creativity that took me to blogging. I blog about my designing and creation of leather jewels. and because designing is tightly connected to my life, I blog also about my life, my thoughts, my family, a remembrance, travels. I am a spiritual oriented person and I will have it about that.

If you are curious about the jewels I design and create, how and where I get inspiration,  with what outfits you can pair my designs and lots of pictures to illustrate, then this blog is for you.  I like to cook so occasionally I ll share a recipe with you.

You might recognize your self in my situations, in my daily life and you might find inspiration in what I am doing, in my way of looking at things, how to counter mishaps or how to turn them in joyful occasions. Not that my life is a continuous struggle but there seems to be more lessons/advice in struggle than in happiness. If you are curious about my ingenuity, resourcefulness  and inventiveness to overcome the struggle of life, stay on this blog and read along.

When a child, I learned sewing, knitting, crocheting and embroidery at elementary school. This continued through high school. When I was still studying at university, I married a musician, we were poor and I applied all my needlework and sewing knowledge to make clothes for the children and myself. When our financial circumstances improved, sewing and knitting became a hobby. Now that I am retired, I am still passionate about creating but my I shifted from fabric and wool to leather. And I love it; I am so passionate about it, I have to rein my enthusiasm and especially my time I spent on the internet to learn everything about internet marketing. I have to balance my time between my passion and my loved ones.

Doesn't love conquers all?

no big mission: make your day, make you happy, make you feel confident: funny, we women feel more confident when we are wearing a nice bracelet, necklace

if I am not busy with my hands, I feel not satisfied and I mistake this for hunger. When young I learned the usual knitting and crocheting, even bobbin lace and sewing and embroidering at elementary school. Much later I went to the Academy for fine arts and   learned oil painting.

But I got really involved when retired, I discovered  working with leather on Pintrest! I got some basic tools and started designing and crafting, cutting and sewing, and have never stopped since. But you can't go on creating. What do you do with all this  creations? You can use them as a gift but that is not a good solution thus I opened a facebookshop. But the selling was not what I hoped for, thus I started a blog.

My name is Hilde DENYS. I studied Musicologie at the KULeuven of Belgium. I am married and have 2 children and 3 grand children. I also have 3 brothers and 3 sisters, lots of nieces and nephews; family is very important for me so I will have it about my children, my grandchildren, brothers and sisters and their offspring.
